When a licensed contractor fails to meet the Registrar of Contractor\u2019s workmanship standards, a homeowner may file a Complaint with the Registrar of Contractors.\u00a0 The Registrar will have one of its inspectors inspect the work and if he agrees that the work is inadequate, a Corrective Work Order will be issued.\u00a0 The Contractor can either cure the problems or request a hearing before an Administrative Law Judge, who may uphold the need for corrective work.\u00a0 The contractor can either cure the problem or file an Appeal to the Superior Court.\u00a0 If he does nothing, the Registrar will suspend his license.\u00a0 At that point, the homeowner can apply for payment of up to $30,000.00 from the Residential Recovery Fund, by submitting three bids for the corrective work.<\/p>\n
